Asthma Education for the Community Health Worker is a five-module asthma education program designed for community health workers (CHWs) and individuals interested in improving asthma care and outcomes in the community.
The program is offered live through a web-based platform and includes five separate teaching modules and comprehensive evaluation. Each module is between 90 to 120 minutes long, and is offered once a week over five weeks. All modules begin at 9 a.m. EST. Participants registered for the course must complete all five modules. This educational program will be delivered by Breathe Pennsylvania’s Certified Asthma Educators (AE-Cs).
May 1- Module 1
May 8- Module 2
May 15- Module 3
May 22- Module 4
May 29- Module 5
Participants who successfully complete the program and earn a satisfactory score on the comprehensive exam will earn an Association of Asthma Educators (AAE) Certificate of Completion*.
Once registered, you will receive an email receipt. Breathe Pennsylvania will contact you in mid-April to provide logistic details for the training. A limited number of scholarships are available to qualifying individuals. Call 724-772-1750 for more information.
By registering, you acknowledge and understand that you must attend and complete all five modules and receive a satisfactory score on the exam to receive the certificate of completion.
